Readers have pointed out that the Quest Pro headset by Meta is currently on sale for $400 the regular price, now at $1099. This is said to be a limited time offer, some are saying for only 1 week.
It's unknown the reason for this price discount. Some have speculated that the headset is not selling as well as hoped for. Others are wonder if Meta needs to pick up momentum and move sufficient inventory before the Quest 3 is released and takes some of the limelight away from the Quest Pro.
It's also not know if this lower price will be available again after the sale is over, or how frequently Meta intends to place the product on sale. A sale this substantial only 3 months after release may rub some of the early adopters the wrong way.
As a Canadian, I will point out that the Quest Pro is not currently on sale in Canada. It's still listed for the launch price of $2299 CAD (approximately $1725 USD).
