Firmware hacker Bastian (@Basti564) is back with some insights into features that the v37 firmware has hidden inside.

Quest 2 firmware v37, which is currently available from the Public Test Channel, has been revealed to contain a lot of interesting and hidden features which enhance the Oculus Home Environment. It appears to lay the groundwork for inviting friends into your own personal home environment. This includes movement in the home via thumbstick, or by "teleporter" method. It also includes watching oculus TV content, including immersive content, together with friends. It's long been known that Meta intends to better integrate Horizons with the home environment, and this seems like a solid first step.

The Guardian has also been updated to include Wall and Ceiling mapping, which will come in handy when customizing your home environment to invite guests over.

No word yet from Meta yet about if/when these features will make it into the public release channel.
