Hardware analysts Brad Lynch and Ming-Chi Kuo have independently leaked some interesting details about the 2 upcoming Meta headsets, including screen specifications and release schedules.
VR hardware analyst Brad Lynch (@SadlyItsBradley) posted on Twitter yesterday that the codenamed Project Cambria headset will use multiple MiniLED screens, while the Quest 3 will use uOLED display technology.
He further revealed that the release schedule for the Project Cambria headset is Q2 2022, and the release schedule for the Quest 3 will be shortly after the Connect conference in 2023.
Meta Cambria (Q2 2022) will include MiniLED screens. Targeting to sell 3 million HMD units in its first year.

Connect 2023 announce/release soon after
A follow up posting also reveals that the Quest 3 will not use Snap Dragon XR3, but instead will use a custom designed silicon that is designed specifically for VR GPU loads.
Later in the day well known apple hardware analyst Ming-Chi Kuo release a report indicating that (Project Cambria) "will be equipped with two 2.48 inches of Mini LED panel with a resolution of 2160 ×2160". The headset will make use of 2 layer pancake lenses. 1-2 Million Project Cambria units are expected to ship in 2022, and 12 million total headsets from Meta.
Mr. Kuo has revealed that Apple's AR/MR headset has been pushed back until later 2022, with significant shipping volumes not available until early 2023.
