Based on reports from well-connected tech publication The Verge, rumors of Roblox coming to standalone Meta VR headsets have been renewed.
The first rumors of Roblox coming to Quest headsets began in Nov 2021 (See our reporting here) with a tweet by Roblox re-iterating their mission to be available on all platforms, and including an Image of a Quest 2 headset with Roblox running.
The rumors continued to come up every couple of months, but nothing solid has yet been revealed. Some astute observers have noted heavy improvements have been made to the Roblox experience UI, and RobloxVR UI which seem to lend themselve very well to support for VR platforms.
Now Alex Heath, editor at The Verge reports "hearing" that Roblox is under active development for Quest platforms, and is expected around Q3 2023.
The Verge notes that these launch plans are still "subject to change".
