A new report from the well connected in all things Apple Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, indicates that the release of the Apple AR headset will be delayed.
Previously slated for unveiling in April, the headset is now said to be planned for unveiling at the WWDC event this June. Even after the unveiling, the headset will not be released immediately, as apparently Apple still needs time to get the hardware and software just right.
This is not the first time the Apple device has been delayed, as rumors of released swirled around as early as mid-2022.
Reportedly the eye-tracking interface and hand-tracking interface are the areas causing the most problems for the Apple team to polish off.
As previously reported, this device is said to include powerful onboard processing, high resolution displays, and a user interface inspired by IOS.
When it does finally launch, expect the device to be priced for the high-end prosumer market at an initial price of around $3000.
